Life on the Etch LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SnapJig mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your display name and email address. You may also sign in using Google or Apple, in which case we receive basic profile information from those services.

Guest Users: You can use the App without creating an account. Guest accounts are created anonymously and do not require any personal information.

Game Data: We collect gameplay data such as puzzle completion times, scores, game history, and leaderboard rankings to provide the game experience.

Photos: In Social Mode, you may choose to upload or take a photo to create a custom puzzle. Photos are stored securely in our cloud storage and are only shared with the intended recipient.

Device Information: We may collect device identifiers and push notification tokens to deliver notifications about challenges and game updates.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the App's features, including solo play, challenges, and social puzzles
To track your game progress, points, and leaderboard standings
To send push notifications about challenge invitations and game updates
To process in-app purchases
To display advertisements (for users who have not purchased ad-free access)
To improve the App and fix bugs

3. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings. On iOS, you will be asked for permission to track via the App Tracking Transparency prompt.

You may purchase an ad-free experience through the in-app shop to remove all advertisements.

4. In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Purchase receipts are validated server-side for security purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Cloud Storage. All data transfers are encrypted. Sensitive game operations (points, purchases, rewards) are processed through secure server-side Cloud Functions.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Firebase - Authentication, database, storage, analytics, and cloud functions
Google AdMob - Advertising
Apple App Store / Google Play Store - In-app purchase processing

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your game data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email address below. Guest account data may be automatically cleaned up after extended periods of inactivity.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your account and data
Opt out of personalized advertising

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
